What is anxiety?
Anxiety is a natural human response to stressful situations and is one of the ways our bodies keeps us safe. However, anxiety can become problematic when it is excessive, persistent and impacts daily life.
Anxiety symptoms can be physical (rapid heartbeat, sweating, fatigue), emotional (worry, poor concentration, feelings of impending doom) and behavioural (avoiding situations, reassurance seeking).

How we can help you
If you haven’t seen a mental health professional before, or if previous treatment hasn’t worked, we may suggest a thorough assessment of your symptoms. This will be completed by a consultant psychiatrist who will help you better understand what you are experiencing, including a diagnosis, if this is appropriate.
Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and psychologists means we can offer a range of treatments including medications and talking therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy.
We understand how challenging it can be to live with anxiety. Our kind and compassionate team is here to guide you through your treatment journey.
