Lucy George
Assistant Psychologist
BSc
Lucy is an Assistant Psychologist with a background in supporting individuals experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with a particular focus on neurodivergence. She is involved in the ADHD assessment process and delivers structured ADHD coaching programmes to help individuals better understand and manage their symptoms. Lucy has a strong interest in neurodivergence, particularly where it co-occurs with mood-related difficulties such as anxiety and low mood.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred principles alongside Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Lucy aims to meet individuals where they are, working collaboratively to understand their needs and develop practical, goal-oriented strategies that support day-to-day functioning, emotional regulation and overall wellbeing.
She holds a BSc Psychology with Professional Placement from the University of Exeter, as well as an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills. Her academic training has provided a solid foundation in evidence-based practice and an appreciation for compassionate, client-centred care.
Lucy’s professional experience includes working as a Child Criminal Exploitation Practitioner at Catch22, where she supported vulnerable young people facing complex social and emotional challenges. She has also volunteered as a SHOUT support texter, providing immediate, accessible support to individuals in distress. These roles have strengthened her ability to build rapport, work sensitively with diverse populations and respond effectively to complex needs.
In her work, Lucy strives to create a supportive, non-judgemental environment where individuals feel heard and understood. Clients can expect a collaborative, compassionate and goal-oriented approach focused on building skills, increasing self-awareness and empowering them to navigate challenges with greater confidence and independence.
