    Frequently asked questions

If you have a question that isn’t listed, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Understanding the different clinicians and types of support available at a mental health clinic can be overwhelming. If you are unsure where to start, we suggest requesting a callback from one of our clinicians, usually a consultant psychiatrist or psychologist. They will help you identify the most appropriate next steps.

Your child will be assessed by a clinician who meets their unique needs.

For ADHD, autism, or general mental health assessments, your child will usually be seen by a consultant psychiatrist. If you would like support with specific behaviours or to better understand unhelpful patterns of thinking, we may recommend support from our psychotherapy team.

ADHD and autism assessments are available for children aged 5 and above.

Typically, we provide therapy for children aged 5 and above. However, we do have specialists who can work with younger children. Please contact us for more information.

All appointments within our CAMHS service are held in person in central London.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who is specially trained to assess, diagnose and treat mental health conditions, including prescribing medication.

A clinical psychologist has completed doctoral-level training in psychology and provides therapy and psychological assessments. Unlike psychiatrists, psychologists cannot prescribe medication.

    Reviews from MOAI families

Here are real reviews from some of the people we have helped through our service. You can read more client stories here.

Dr Tucker is amazing and has given my son so much hope that he can get better. He’s friendly with a fantastic knowledge of my son’s condition and we’re hopeful that we can get through this. The fact that we can have sessions online also really helps with my son’s anxiety.

It’s given us the hope we need that we can all get through this.

We had a very positive experience with both Jenna and Patrick during our son’s assessment. They immediately made him feel at ease and the whole experience was fun and not stressful for him. I felt that the assessments were really thorough and that his diagnosis showed an in depth understanding of his difficulties and that it will be very helpful for him to have going forwards.
