Dr Elizabeth Tyrrell Bunge is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist with a special interest in eating disorders. She trained at the University of Glasgow before completing her psychiatric training at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. She also holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and is undertaking advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Tyrrell Bunge is dedicated to improving mental health care for young people, particularly in eating disorders and public health. She has contributed to research on anorexia nervosa, presented at national conferences, and plays an active role in psychiatric training and service improvement.

Passionate about women’s mental health, Dr Tyrrell Bunge led events for the Royal College of Psychiatrists on this topic. Outside work, she enjoys long-distance running and has studied Arabic.
