Dr Ryckaert completed her medical degree at the University of Leuven in Belgium before pursuing further academic training at the University of Antwerp. She later moved to the UK to deepen her expertise in neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions, completing an MSc in Neuroimaging and a second MSc followed by a PhD in Social, Genetic, and Developmental Psychiatry at King's College London. Her doctoral research focused on ADHD, emotional dysregulation, and its links to depression, under the supervision of Professor Philip Asherson, a leading expert in adult ADHD.

Clinically, Dr Ryckaert trained in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) from the outset, gaining robust experience in community-based services and crisis care. She completed her higher specialty training at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and later worked as a consultant psychiatrist leading the ADHD pathway in Lambeth CAMHS. In addition to her expertise in ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions, she has significant experience in complex psychiatric presentations, crisis intervention, and holistic treatment planning, including medication management.

With a strong academic foundation and a wealth of frontline clinical experience, Dr Ryckaert is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals with neurodivergent profiles and co-occurring mental health challenges.
